Terry L Bethurum died at his home in Wheat Ridge, CO after suffering from complications of diabetes, heart disease and kidney failure at the age of 66.
Terry is survived by his wife Janet, brothers Michael (Sherry) Bethurum and Jerry (Janis) Bethurum, Sisters Bette (Lewis) Bierwirth and Debbie Bethurum as well as his dear friend Dee Ann Owens and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Elvin and Erma Bethurum and his sister Sandra Lee Parriott.

Terry was born on January 21, 1951 in Denver, CO. He served in the United States Army, serving as a Heavy Vehicle Driver in Germany and Viet Nam. He attended The Denver School of Skilled Trades, learning the upholstery trade, worked for the City of Wheat Ridge as a Heavy Equipment Operator, became a licensed Insurance and Security Agent, and was a Manager at the Denver Post in Distribution.

Terry was accomplished at photography and loved taking pictures of various subjects. He was also an avid swimmer and enjoyed several trips to Lake Powell where he would swim for hours. Terry also always enjoyed riding his motorcycle with the "fellas". After gaming came to Colorado, Terry always wanted to "Go Gambling", which he was able to do for the last time two days before his death

In his own words "I want to be known as a generous and thoughtful person, always willing to forgive and forget. I've made mistakes and I feel responsible for those mistakes and I've given those over to GOD. But I've NEVER EVER tried to hurt anyone intentionally!"

A funeral is scheduled for May 25th at 10:00am at Olinger Highlands Chapel at 10201 Grant St. in Thornton, CO followed by a Committal Service at Fort Logan Cemetery. A reception will follow at Terry's home at 4235 Iris St. in Wheat Ridge, CO. Chaplain Winn Allison from Lutheran Hospice will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Terry's life.
